Choosing a Contractor to Remodel Your Bathroom

by Jake Schloegel on March 29, 2012

Jake Schloegel discusses 3 major considerations to make when choosing a company to remodel your bathroom

 #1: Product Knowledge
Will the contractor or the remodeling company be helping you make all of decisions that are required when remodeling a bathroom? One of the hardest parts of the whole remodeling process is making all of the right design decisions so that you end up with the look, the quality, and the functionality that you want.

#2: Who Will be in Your Home?
It’s important to understand who will be coming in and out of your home through the duration of your bathroom remodel. Some companies, like One Week Bath Kansas City has an in-house team that executes all aspects of the design and remodeling process.  On the flip side, some contractors simply hire-out sub-contractors for the different phases of construction: plumbing, framing, tiling, electrical, etc.

#3: Longevity & Reputation of the Company
Always take the time to look into the history and reputation of the company that you plan to work with. Never hesitate to ask for references or to see examples of their work.

What’s most important to you when you’re choosing a contractor? Do you have questions for Jake Schloegel about a bathroom remodeling project? We invite your questions and comments in the comments section below!
